Wellness center: WELLNESS BASKA comprises of 850 meters squared of the ground floor area belonging to hotel Corinthia, in front of which are constructed indoor swimming pools. The outdoors swimming pool with its facilities follows towards already existing tennis courts and other sports facilities.

The entrance to WELLNESS BASKA is located on the SW part of the building of hotel Corinthia, facing the main approach and the hotel Zvonimir, the promenade and the beach. The direct approach is possible from the hotel Corinthia. (Hotel Corinthia I and Hotel Corinthia II & III)

"The main street" is connected with 5 functional areas of the indoor part of WELLNESS BASKA, placed on 1300 meters squared of fully air-conditioned space.

BEAUTY PARLOUR: Guests are welcomed at the reception area where they can relax while waiting. Within 88 square meters of Beauty parlour there are two rooms for manicure, two for pedicure and one room with stand up solarium.

Massage: Massage room has 4 rooms covering 63 m2, with professional massage tables. During the treatment the Mediterranean atmosphere so characteristic for WELLNESS BASKA makes you feel even more comfortable.

SPA & Relax: SPA centre has an area of 130 m2. Guests can choose either a steam bath for 8 persons (7 m2), or infrared sauna for 6 persons (4,5 m2) and combined traditional Finish sauna for 8 persons (6 m2) or for 6 persons (5 m2).

In the SPA centre there is a pool for relaxing with a capacity for 6 persons, with 8 heating tables for relaxing, then an inner area of 15 m2 with armchairs and a terrace of 36 m2 with about twenty deck chairs for resting.

The body care in the SPA Centre emphasizes purifying the skin and the whole organism, called detoxification.

The history of sauna was written by many nations, using it in their specific ways: Egyptians, Greek, Romans, Slavic and Nordic peoples… Although each culture has developed a different type of sauna, they all have in common their beneficial effects to the body and the feeling of physical and emotional recuperation after leaving the sauna.

The effects of the sauna are numerous! It stimulates blood and lymph circulation, heart rhythm and better functioning of other vital organs, while the increase of body temperature induces intense perspiration, thus purifying the skin and eliminating toxins from the organism. The sauna is also a place for a relaxed talk in a friendly atmosphere.

Fitness: Guests can do exercises using 12 different exercise apparatus. In the Mediterranean climate of WELLNESS BASKA, relaxed and concentrated on the body – muscle work, breathing, stretching – the guests achieve the balance between the programmes which relax and those which keep the body active.

Indoor pools: Building extension of indoor pools, 5,20 m high, measured from sea level, gives a visual atmosphere to the Corinthia Hotel.

With rooms in the ground floor it makes unique functional unity.

The total pool area is 495 m2. Recreation pool for adults is 21,50 x 27 m, and the children's pool is 4 m2. In the surrounding pool area there is capacity for about 30 deck chairs. The pools are filled with fresh water, heated at 27oC, while the air temperature in the pool area is 32oC.

Recreational pool, 135 cm deep, is equipped with two whirlpools with a capacity for 6 persons, 4 geysers, jets with 6 nozzles and light effects from the pool floor and walls. The pool for children is 30 m deep.

Outdoor pools: The boarded green area of 3475 square meters makes a natural extension of the WELLNESS BASKA area, where we can find the outdoor pools, sunbathing area, children's playground, catering area and a stage for entertainment during daytime and evening hours.

The pools cover 600 m2, while 200 deck chairs can be placed on the two levels of sunbathing area covering 2000 m2, either on grass or on ceramic area, depending on the guests’ wishes.

The pool for adults is round with a length of 25 meters, and depth from 35 to 135 cm, and with cascades at 30, 60, 80 and 100 cm. The outdoor children’s pool is 8 m in diameter, and is 80 cm deep.
The outdoor pools are filled with fresh water, with a heating possibility up to 22oC.

The outdoor pools abound with WELLNESS contents, i.e. with various water effects for relaxing and entertainment. In the pool for adults there are 4 horizontal massages, 8 water massages, 6 geysers, jet with 8 nozzles, fountain and 3 toys: frog, dolphin and sea lion.

Children will have a lot of entertainment with 2 aqua guns one 100 cm high and the other 150 cm high.
