| Stayed with family for one week (16/06 - 23/06/12). Excellent location but service needs to be improved. Beware of so called hotel's policy according to which they do not serve a drinking water during a dinner. Instead, the wait staff would offer you a bottled watter which you need to pay. We and our frends (other two families) had provided our own bottled (1/2 liter) watter for our children during the supper time. The last day of our stay, one of the waiters complained to us stating that it was not allowed to bring own bottled water in their hotel! We were suprised with this approach as there was no any postings in the hotel as to this ''hotel's policy''. Few other waiters got involved in this argument with us and we had asked for a manager. In few seconds manager Juraj Eterovic showed up siding with his staff and stating that there was no hotel in the world to serve a free of charge pitcher of watter! We objected to this as our experience from trips to Canada, USA, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and Austria had been quite the opposite one! We ended up writng a 3-page complaint in the hotel's bok of complaint and nothing! Nobody from the hotel has contacted us so far to appologize! The second fault is a lack of the hotel's beach with the sunbeds and umbrellas for hotel's guests as the nearby Hotel Bretanide (the same category as this one) provides it all for its guests. Given the rates of accomodation at this hotel and comparing it with other hotels that are same or similar category in other countries, it is unfair from the hotel to provide only a ''room and board service'' for quite an expensive rates! | Unfortunately, this is one more place in Croatia where management believes that the location of the hotel itself would do the job for them as opposed to the other countries where the entire staff would normally do the job around the clock in order to justify the trust and money that is paid! |
