Pets accompany us almost everywhere. Years ago, Croatia introduced designated areas for dog-friendly beaches. These beaches feature special waste bins for dog waste, benches, running water, and dog showers.

We have listed the official dog beaches located near our accommodation facilities. We have selected properties where your dog is more than welcome. There are many other accommodations in Croatia that accept pets, and we have also not listed every secluded or wild beach where you can also enjoy swimming with your pet.

Pet-Friendly Accommodation: Hotels, Apartments, and Mobile Homes

Planning a vacation with a dog requires choosing the right type of accommodation. Hotels that accept pets often offer special pet beds and food bowls, but be sure to check their rules regarding access to the restaurant. Apartments provide greater flexibility and more space, which is ideal for larger dogs. Mobile homes in campsites are the most popular choice as they offer a direct connection with nature and proximity to walking paths. Always check the pet surcharge fee in advance, as well as the availability of shade near your chosen property.

MIDDLE DALMATIA

- Baško Polje– Camping Pinadria (formerly Kamp Baško Polje), which brings some updates, but the natural ambiance remains the same. Dogs are allowed in mobile homes (usually for an additional fee).
Shade: The campsite is located in a dense pine forest, which is key to the comfort of dogs during the summer heat.

- Omiš– Within the well-known campsite Almissa - ex Galeb, located at the very entrance to Omiš from the direction of Split, there is a special part of the beach intended for dogs.
Beach type: Sandy (shallow sea, ideal for smaller dogs).
Note: Although it is part of the campsite, the beach is usually also accessible to external visitors, but it is advisable to check the campsite rules at the reception.

GOOD TO KNOW ...
Every beach has own rules. Many of them are not open all the day.

But there are few rules which are important everywhere:
- Clean. Have dog's bags. There are many beaches without free bags. Throw bags into bins for waste.
- Look and watch out where is your dog. There are many other pets.
- Have your dog on leash. All the beaches are not fenced and protected.
